Ekaterina Kitaitseva was born in Moscow and grew up in a family of documentary filmmakers. From a young age, she couldn't see herself in any other profession. She later fulfilled her childhood dream by graduating from the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in Moscow with degrees in both film production and directing. Ekaterina began her television career in 1996 at NTV, where she made her first documentaries. She later worked at Rossiya-1, TVC, and Zvezda. In 2021, Ekaterina joined RT Documentary and is also a member of the Russian Filmmakers' Union.'Life is far more varied than any screenwriter could imagine, and real human emotions are incomparable to the performances of even the most talented actors. This is what I love most about documentary filmmaking.'
