Vartan Khachatryan was born in Moscow. He received his secondary vocational education at the VGIK-affiliated College of Television and Multimedia. From the age of 16, he worked on film sets in cinema, advertising, and TV series. After completing his military service, he enrolled at the Institute of Cinema and Television (GITR), majoring in film and TV production, and graduated in 2019. While still a student, he worked in news media, producing reports and special features. He has been with RT since 2022, starting in news production before moving to the Documentary Broadcasting Directorate. Over the past year, he has produced more than ten documentaries, working alongside colleagues across various areas in the zone of the Special Military Operation.
